Editing Day 7: Grammar

Hello grammar guardians,

It's the final day of our Editing Marathon. Today, we're honing in on grammar and style. Let's leap that last hurdle together!

"Ill-fitting grammar are like ill-fitting shoes. You can get used to it for a bit, but then one day your toes fall off and you can’t walk to the bathroom." - Jasper Fforde

Grammar Police Even the best story can stumble over poor grammar. Brush up on your grammar rules or consider using a tool like Grammarly for help.

Stylistic Choices Long sentences or short? Formal language or colloquial? Your style should be consistent and match the tone of your story.

Read Aloud Reading your manuscript aloud can help you catch awkward phrases, repetition, and even some typos. Give it a go!

Congratulations, we've reached the end of our Editing Journey! Next week, we'll begin a new adventure. Until then, keep those red pens ready!

-Andrew
